Weird juxtaposition

Yesterday my 31 year old cousin passed away after being in the hospital for a month with all sorts of problems stemming from his heart condition. He ended up with his leg amputated, a stroke during that operation, many infections, and finally his organs gave out and his family decided to take him off life support. He leaves behind a 5 year old son, fiancée and of course many grieving family members and friends.

On the other end of the scale, one of my best friends is getting married today and I’m a bridesmaid. I am really excited for the couple and honestly this wedding helps me be happy and remove myself from the sadness for a night.

Instead of prayers or condolences, I would just ask that everyone please consider organ donation and discuss that with your spouse or family so they know your intentions. Once you die, you have no need for your organs, but there are many out there dying while waiting for donations.
