Yesterday was spent helping Jake pick out furniture at IKEA for his empty new place. His parents and I helped him pick out a chair, a dresser, a bookcase, and a dining room table with 4 chairs. Then when we got back to his place we began putting it all together which took about 4 or 5 hours. Jake had to fill out paperwork for his new job, so it was mostly just me and his dad putting the furniture together. It reminded me that most of the furniture I own, I put together at one time or another. In fact, my work desk I put together all by myself. I need to make sure the next time I take a personality test I fill in the circle for “A lot” when presented with the statement “I like putting together furniture.”
