Callin’ Baton Rouge, Etc.
- Kevin and I are driving to Baton Rouge tomorrow and aren’t returning to Austin until December 4th. That is a long time to be up in my parents’ house so we have one of those Extended Stay hotels for Sunday - Friday. Anyway, if you live in the Baton Rouge area and want to get dinner or dranks, hit us up.
- My mom retired last year so she could stay at home and watch Kayleigh (my brother’s soon-to-be one year old daughter). She loves it and my brother and sister-in-law love that they don’t have to pay for daycare or worry about her. My other brother constantly drops his daschund off at my mom’s house when he is too busy to take care of him. Yesterday was one of those days. I got this email from my mom which breaks my heart that she feels it was her fault (Maynard is the dog’s name):
- I reassured her that she has a lot on her plate with taking care of a baby full-time and nobody would ever ever consider her anything but the greatest grandmother ever. Still breaking my heart because I KNOW that she cried about this.
- I will be going to the LSU-Arkansas game while I am in town with Rhonda - so look for us on the television!
